Descent Profile is a simple descent planning tool designed for aircraft without VNAV. Enter Cruise Altitudee, Target Altitude, and the distance from TOD to reach Target Altitude is displayed — Then enter groundspeed and Time to go and Vertical Speed required values instantly appear.

How to Use

Descent planning is simpler when you know two things: Cruise Altitude and Target Altitude. Time and Vertical Speed comes after groundspeed is entered.

Descent Profile gives you the vertical speed required to meet your altitude constraint.

1) Set the Descent

1. Set your CRZ LVL (cruise flight level/altitude).
2. Set your TO LVL (target level/altitude).
3. The app computes DESCEND (altitude to lose).

3) Read the Result

1. The app shows TIME available to cover the distance.
2. The app shows required V/S in fpm to descend the needed altitude within that time.
